Course Description

Train to become a Medical Assistant at Bliss Medical Academy in Duluth, Georgia. Our hybrid program prepares you for one of healthcare’s most versatile roles with hands-on training in both clinical and administrative skills.

What You’ll Learn

• Patient intake, rooming, and vital signs
• Phlebotomy and injections
• EKG basics and procedure assistance
• EHR/EMR documentation and front-office workflows
• Infection control and patient communication

Program Format

• Hybrid
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Online Lectures: 210 hours of live instruction delivered via Zoom.
• In-Person Lab: 196 hours of supervised, hands-on skills practice.
• Clinical Externship: 80 hours of supervised clinical experience in an approved healthcare
  setting.

Registration Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Government-issued Valid Photo ID
• SSN (may be required for certification exam registration and employment verification purposes)
• Proof of legal status
• Students must successfully complete a criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
• Mandatory health requirements for clinical placement include proof of a negative Tuberculosis
  (TB) test, along with current immunization records for Hepatitis B, Influenza, and Measles,
  Mumps, and Rubella (MMR).

Payment Plan Options

• A non-refundable application fee of $150 is required to secure a seat in the program.
• The remaining tuition balance may be paid for in up to three (3) installments, with full
  payment due no later than the midpoint of the course, unless a written payment extension
  has been approved in advance.

Completion & Certification

To become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), graduates of Bliss Medical Academy must successfully pass a national certification examination administered by a third-party certifying organization, such as the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
